In Santa Barbara, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across California, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Santa Barbara is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Barbara is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. No complaints. Didn't get gas, but stocked up on stacks and drinks for a road trip.

I had a really disappointing experience at The Point car wash. I went through their drive-through wash expecting a routine clean, but instead, the machine caused noticeable damage to my car. When I brought this to their attention, the response was incredibly frustrating. Staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and at times outright rude. Rather than taking the concern seriously or even attempting to assess the damage, they immediately denied any responsibility. Accidents can happen, but how a business handles those situations matters. In this case, there was no accountability, no effort to resolve the issue, and no concern for the customer experience. I would strongly caution others before using this car wash.

All I want is to pay someone to wash my car, and this car wash makes that really hard. The automatic wash leaves water all over the car and doesnβt dry anything. The interior wash used to be a good value, advertising a quick 15 minute clean that was really good. But every time Iβve gone there for the past 3 or 4 months, they always say theyβre busy for the next hour or two. They wonβt let you make an appointment. However if you ask for any of the special services they offer, thatβs appointment only. But againβ¦ you canβt make an appointment.

Iβm pretty disappointed with the fuel depot and the point market on coast village road. I ended up getting a flat right as I was going by their market so I pulled in late in the evening. An employee came out to talk to me. I ended up not having a spare tire. I tried to called Volkswagen assistance and they could only come the next morning. I asked the employee if our car would be ok there until we could get a tow. We called Volkswagen assistance and had someone there by 8:45 am to get there and find out that our car had already been towed even though we were told that our car would be safe. We were told from the tow company they received a call the night prior and the next morning. If that had been the case why would the employee lie and tell us we were ok. We got to bob Holzer towing where my vehicle was and had to pay $360 to get my car back. What a freaking rip off. We called the manager in the morning and was told that her employee did not tell us that. Even though he did and we have three witnesses. We have also emailed corporate and have gotten no answer. Also to add we live here in town and have lots of friends in town that buy gas from your locations if this isnβt resolved

I am surprised that this place has any bad reviews at all! Those reviews seem old, like years old. Anyway that made me want to post a review. Car wash is amazing. Staff is so nice and attentive. Great place to gas up, use the restroom and get fancy snacks. Iβll drive a bit extra to get gas and wash my car here. Thank you!
